Munching: Blueberry and Spinach smoothie


It's that time of the year when the germs are thriving! So this smoothie combination tastes good and is packed full of vitamins and goodness to get you through the winter months. The spinach is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. The blueberries are high in fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin C, vitamin B6 and phytonutrient content. The kiwi is also full of nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, folate, and potassium antioxidants and are a great source of fibre.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup greek yogart

1 handful of frozen blueberries

1 fresh banana

1 handful of spinach leaves

1 kiwi (I leave the skin on but they can also be peeled before blending)

1 teaspoon chia seeds

100ml water
