I find one of the best ways to gain inspiration is to get out and about and experience places first hand. Pinterest and Instagram are an amazing way to pass time and let you mind wonder whilst sat at a desk, but nothing beats visiting a well designed hotel, restaurant or bar in the flesh. As an interior designer I am always looking for new ideas and how other designers are putting together their schemes. This got me thinking of combining both my love of visiting different places and background, as an interior designer, to create mood-boards of the places I visit. I visited The Cotswold House and spa earlier this month, and although not necessarily how I would decorate my own house I felt it was a beautifully designed hotel which created such a lovely uplifting mood. Just the type of place you'd want to escape to.
