NEW YEAR NEW RESOLUTIONS

It seems like only yesterday I was making my 2017 resolutions, I managed to stick to nearly all of them except making sourdough bread, that one will have to roll over to this year. So here are my 2018 resolutions...

HAVE A PROPER HOLIDAY

(Spain doesn't count!)

After tallying up the amount of days I actually took off last year it occurred to me how little time I actually took off. So this year I must make a point of having a proper holiday where I can switch off and not have to think about work!

USE LESS PLASTIC

I love natural materials, glass, ceramic and wood always look so much nicer then plastic anyway, so it makes sense that I should try and use less where possible and always recycle. I shall also be stocking handmade wooden brushes and utensils for your home. I also love the concept of Bulk Market, a small super market which uses no plastic. Unfortunately it isn't close enough for me to do my regular shopping but I must pop in and show some support once they open their new store.

PLANT AND GROW ALL MY SEEDS I COLLECTED LAST YEAR

Unfortunately my Seedballs I bought last year didn't grow, I'm not sure if it was due to my scattering skills or if the balls just didn't break down well enough. I've decided not to give up though and this year will sow them in a propagator to give them a little added help. I also have Poppy and Hollyhock seeds which I collected on my travels around the English countryside, so I'll be attempting to grow them too!

RE-DECORATE THE GARDEN OFFICE

So I did end up re-decorating the the garden office and painting it dark blue, but I miss the light airy feeling so I think I shall give it another make-over this year but I can't decide between a neutral stony colour or a nude pink...

SHOP SMALL

So after starting my own online shop last year I think it's only right that I support others in the same boat! Plus you can find so many more individual exciting products to make your home unique!

VISIT MORE SMALL VILLAGES

I still didn't get round to visiting Castle Combe, which is now top of my list for this year, along with doing a road trip of places nearby.
